Contributions

Quakerspring is strongly committed to finding ways that make it possible for Friends to take part in these activities wherever possible regardless of financial circumstances.  We are currently running our gatherings on a "free will offering" basis to support participation irrespective of financial means.

We welcome contributions to support this work in any amount, large or small.  Such contributions will be used to:

  • Support attendance by Friends who lack the means to cover the expenses we pay to facilities for our gatherings. We have provided full scholarships, for example, to Friends from East Africa YM who could not have otherwise attended.
  • Assist with travel to our gatherings by those at a great distance.  We are hoping very much to support attendance in the future by Friends from Northwest YM in the future, for example, in order to encourage shared experiences of the Living Christ among those from different theological backgrounds within the Society of Friends.
  • Encourage and facilitate more active attendance by Young Adult Friends.
  • Support outreach to those around the Society of Friends who have not heard about these gatherings/ministry and would appreciate learning about these.
  • Help to pay organizing and planning expenses that are not currently being fully covered by our gathering income, such as the costs of maintaining this website.
Although Quakerspring is not itself a 501-c-3 tax exempt organization under IRS rules, it is possible to make contributions to a Quaker organization that is supporting this ministry.  If you are interested in finding out how to do this or for any other questions regarding issues around financial support please write quakerspring "at" gmail.com
